Yellow Pepper Pizza


– Basic Pizza Dough
– 3 medium size yellow bell peppers, cut into 1 inch strips
– 1 large Italian red onion, sliced
– 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
– 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
– 1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes
– 1 ball of fresh mozzarella, sliced
– 1 tsp of dried basil
– 1/2 tsp of salt
– 1/2 tsp of fresh ground black pepper


In a large frying pan saute the peppers, onions and garlic until tender. Rub a little oil on a cookie sheet or pizza pan. Gently shape the dough into a round or square shape. Top the pizza with the pepper and onion mixture. Top with the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Season with basil, salt and pepper. Cover it up an let it sit for 1 hour to rise into a thicker dough. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes.
